// about

Hi, I’m Steven! I like building things and figuring out the tricky problems along the way.

Steven Boyle
~/me.jpgNewcastle upon Tyne, UK

I've spent over a decade building software for the web, growing from IC to leading engineering teams - owning the whole path from architecture to delivery. I enjoy working hands-on with customers across pre-sale and post-sale, from the first technical conversation through to launch and beyond.

gitgood.io

Code-review engagement for distributed teams, built solo as sole technical founder.

TypeScript / React / Next.js / Node.js / PostgreSQL / Drizzle ORM / Vercel / Supabase / Clerk / Tailwind / Claude Code

4 highlights
  • Built a real-time PR sync engine on GitHub's API
  • Built a context-aware AI feedback evaluation system to incentivise high-signal code review
  • Designed a gamified UX system — streaks, progression, feedback loops — to drive consistent participation
  • Owned all technical and architectural decisions, including build-vs-buy across auth, database, and infra

stevenboyle.dev

A static Next.js site whose hero is a WebGPU agent swarm, simulated on the GPU with vgpu.

TypeScript / Next.js / React / WebGPU / WGSL / vgpu / RSS

4 highlights
  • Agent swarm simulated in WGSL compute shaders, rendered as instanced SDF robots
  • GPU → CPU feedback for live telemetry: agents, crews working, tasks done
  • Medium posts pulled from the RSS feed at build time and rendered as native pages, with a committed snapshot that keeps older posts and builds working if Medium is down
  • ⌘K command palette, git-graph timeline, static export with no server at runtime
